Solution Highlights

Before the application of robots, the delivery of specimens in the laboratory and medicines in the central pharmacy was mainly completed by medical personnel, occupying large workload and long time, and sometimes it could not meet the urgent distribution needs in wards or emergency. Now, the distribution of specimens and medicines is handed over to robots, making the whole distribution process safe and reliable, shortening the waiting time for clinical medicines usage, releasing the medical staff to focus on patients, and improving the service level of hospitals.

△Smart Sala Q1

Smart Sala Q1 is shaped in cylinder, with the width of only 60cm, making it smoothly drive through the corridors smoothly. The internal volume of Q1 is up to 80L with two cabinets up and down, the upper one can be used for specimens and the lower one for bigger instruments. Q1 is also set up with UV lamp to disinfect and sterilize the material and space to keep clean and safe inner environment. In addition, Q1 can be designed with RFID, Face ID, and other authority management systems, to reduce the delivery error rate for better medicine safety control.

Integrated with advanced sensor technologies, the Q1 robots can autonomously avoid obstacles, take elevators, open doors, and be under supervision, to enable every process traceable and manageable, as well as the delivery closed-loop management. At the same time, RIDS intelligent scheduling system can distribute delivery tasks according to the factors of order timeliness, priority, travel distance, etc. to realize the multitasking and waiting time reduction and delivery efficiency increase.

Delivery Solution

8AM every morning, Q1 starts to work from the stations of blood sampling room, restrooms, sperm collection room, and gynecology clinic located on 1^st to 3^rd floor. Based on timeliness requirement of specimen delivery in clinical lab, there are 1 to 2 robots on each floor collecting specimens every half hour and sending to the clinical lab on 2^nd floor. The nurse stations of Obstetrics Department, Neonatology Dept. and Operating Rooms will be collected every hour.

Besides the scheduled delivery missions, the robots are also responsible for the temporary delivery missions of pathological specimen from 2^nd to 5^th floor. The medical staff can order via robots or remote devices when necessary, to call the robots for collecting and sending the specimen.

Smart Sala Q1 can not only send specimens but also medicines. The medical staff can put the medicine into the cabinets, and robots start from central pharmacy on 1^st floor and delivery the medicines to the stations of infusion hall, operating rooms, nurse stations in order, to meet the requirement of temporary medicines delivery.
